Proclaiming what God has done ~ We should share our testimony to others:

•Psalm 107:1-2 NIV

[1] Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
[2] Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story—those he redeemed from the hand of the foe,

Psalm 108:1-5,12-13 NIV
[1] My heart, O God, is steadfast; I will sing and make music with all my soul.
[2] Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.
[3] I will praise you, Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples.
[4] For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
[5] Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.
[12] Give us aid against the enemy, for human help is worthless.
[13] With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.

Psalm 109:30-31 NIV
[30] With my mouth I will greatly extol the Lord; in the great throng of worshipers I will praise him.
[31] For he stands at the right hand of the needy, to save their lives from those who would condemn them.

My turn, Here’s my testimony:
Ohh God is good to reveal these things to me!!
God knows that I am so lazy to exercise and to take of my body. God made a way for me to realize and change my heart first before I am motivated to follow Him. After He reminded me through my small group, that the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and that everything I do should bring glory to God. My mindset or my heart has changed. I wanted to do it for the Lord more than anything. I wanted to bring glory and honor to God- it’s not even for the purpose of being fit- but just complete obedience.

After this heart changed (transplant), God opened doors, that enabled me to obey;
1. I suddenly found a store, which sells Kefir grains and Flax Seed – which is good for my colon cleansing.
2. The Lord suddenly showed me a workout routine which exactly what our dgroup leader, tita Jean shared. It should have a cardio and strengthening routine.

Praise God! What amazes me is after God made me realize my mistakes, He guided me how to make the necessary ways for me to obey Him. God is truly Amazing. He indeed cares for me.

A testimony within a testimony:
I’ve been fasting every week and noticed that something is changing with my body. I feel so sleepy and weak- I can see that my body is storing more fats and my metabolism change. I asked the  Lord if what I am feeling is true or is it just me excusing myself.
Out of the blue, tita Jean started to share about being “Fit for God”, which is an answered prayer. She described the symptoms of a crash diet and apparently my body thinks that it’s what I am doing. She said that it is necessary to work-out or exercise (even in fasting) so that the body does not go to the “survival mode”- God has designed our bodies that way.

God impressed upon me to stop fasting first and I know that the Lord is concern for my health.
As a confirmation, God reminded me through my dgroupmate Karen in Isaiah 58:10

God has been reminding me of that verse but I don’t know where to find it. The Lord was speaking to Karen about her personal life and it also benefited me :D. We turned our Bibles to Isaiah 58  I saw markings and remembered that we studied this early this year when the church went to the annual fasting. God reminded me of an authentic fast and the kind of fast He desires. He reminded me that aside from fasting I should be able to help others, feed the hungry- God reminded me my pledge to help (because I saw the church’s announcement that they needed donations for Nepal).  *Ohh this makes me cry*

This is the word of the LORD:
Isaiah 58:10-14 NIV
[10] and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.
[11] The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.
[12] Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.
[13] “If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath and from doing as you please on my holy day, if you call the Sabbath a delight and the Lord’s holy day honorable, and if you honor it by not going your own way and not doing as you please or speaking idle words, [14] then you will find your joy in the Lord, and I will cause you to ride in triumph on the heights of the land and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob.” For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.

Note to self: God is good and He makes it easy for me to obey Him
